A Tried and Tested Therapy

Neurofeedback therapy began as a therapy in the 1960s and 1970s and has also been known as EEG biofeedback and neurobiofeedback.  Neurofeedback has been studied and shown to improve dyslexia and learning disorders, memory issues, focus, and insomnia.  Neurofeedback also helps relieve the symptoms of many brain and mental health diagnoses such as ADD/ADHD, anger management, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), PTSD, migraines and headaches, brain injury, and autism spectrum disorders.

The International Society for Neurofeedback and Research (ISNR) is a great place to review neurofeedback research if you’re interested in learning more about this beneficial therapy.  ISNR supports education and excellence in the field of neurofeedback training and maintains a comprehensive bibliography of neurofeedback research.  For a more concise review of neurofeedback and relevant research, you can read this editorial which links multiple rigorous scientific studies on neurofeedback training.
