About Us

A Restored Mind, PLLC, founded by April Roberson, MSN, RN, CEN, focuses neurofeedback therapy for people of all ages.  After being inspired by the results neurofeedback gave her special needs child, April trained with neurofeedback experts and completed training that specializes in services for clients that have suffered traumatic events.  A Restored Mind offers personalized care, using neurofeedback to address behavioral and emotional issues.  Our goal is to help clients heal and improve their quality of life by creating individualized treatment plans tailored to each person’s unique situation.

Meet April

April Roberson, MSN, RN, CEN, has over 20 years experience as a Registered Nurse.  For the past few decades, April has been following her passion for healthcare and wellness by providing compassionate care to patients of all ages.

April earned an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Forsyth Technical Community College, a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Winston Salem State University, and a Masters of Science in Nursing from East Carolina University.

As a wife and mother of three children, one of whom has special needs, April knows first-hand the stress and trials of having a special needs child with limited solutions to overcome those special challenges.  While researching possible treatment and services for her child, April learned about neurofeedback training and began therapy for her child.  After experiencing dramatic improvements in the behavior of her child, she decided to further her education then brought neurofeedback therapy to the King, North Carolina community by founding A Restored Mind.

April’s passion is to meet clients where they are and develop individualized plans to help each person become the best version of themselves.  Helping patients overcome past experiences, traumas, and challenges to persevere with a healthier mind inspires April to continue pursuing wellness for her community.

A Restored Mind is here to treat event the smallest members of the family!  Our staff has experience with children with special needs, behavioral challenges, anxiety, and other conditions.  We work with the child and family to determine therapy goals and work together to achieve goals and overcome challenges.

Special Needs

We are passionate about helping individuals of all ages who have special needs.  Each care plan is created for each individual client, taking into consideration current symptoms, future goals, and achievable milestones.  Each client is a unique individual and each care plan we create matches each client’s unique situation.
